I am a collector of forms, contemplating the forces that created them. Freely combining abstract and recognizable fragments of human experience, I search for patterns and interrelationships that suggest non-linear stories, celebrating both the material and intangible aspects of life.


Philip High was born in Louisville, Kentucky and studied painting, printmaking and ceramics at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He began a career in graphic arts after moving to Atlanta, Georgia, eventually relocating to Mobile, Alabama. Years later he returned to Lexington, where he began shifting his focus back to fine art. Philip has received regional, national and international awards for fine art and illustration in both digital and traditional media and currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky.
